Private Candidates

If you do not attend a CIE school it is possible for you to sit CIE examinations by making an entry as a private candidate. Entry must be made through a registered school. A list of schools that will accept private candidates is given below (addresses are given to help you find a suitable centre). Click on the school’s name for an email contact to the CIE Coordinator.

Examinations entries are made in February (for the June session) and in August (November session). You can expect to pay an additional fee to cover administrative expenses (such as invigilation). The school is not responsible for providing you with tuition, textbooks or other material not related directly to the examination.

If you are a student at an ACSNZ school, you must seek permission from your school Principal to resit elsewhere.
